Pastor Sylvester Anthony

Pastor Sylvester Anthony was born on March 11, 1929 in Grant Town, West Virginia. He came to the Faith in his early twenties, and found out about the Sabbath and the True Names within a year of coming to the Faith. The True Names of Yahweh and Yahshua became his passion, as well as the understanding of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers in Messiah.

Pastor Anthony's love for Yahweh and his brothers and sisters shined forth in his ministry. He founded the Congregation of Yahshua in Pittsburgh in the late 1970's - the assembly began in his living room.

On May 31, 2005, Pastor Sylvester Anthony was called home to be with the Father. He will be remembered for his love for Yahweh and His flock, his endless love for his wife, Norma Jean. Pastor Anthony's youngest son, Micah B. Anthony, is now the shepherd of the Congregation.
